What Inventory owns
Append-only stock movements, derived balances, batch identity, FEFO-aware depletion, and book-vs-physical variance. Sales and production consume through this spine — they do not keep a parallel quantity field.
How it connects
Purchasing brings stock in via GRN. Recipe & BOM describes what each sale or production run should consume. Variance explains differences after a count. Together they keep Operate family data honest.
